Welcome to Girls Brigade - Isle of Wight

Our Girls' Brigade groups (known as companies) meet in churches on the Isle of Wight and are for girls between the ages of 4 - 18 years of age.

They’re run by fully-qualified volunteer leaders, who are all CRB-checked with designated first aiders.

Although every Girls' Brigade company is different - all groups believe in transforming and enriching the lives of their members and local communities.

Girls' Brigade Isle of Wight meet in the George Street Centre, Ryde and Castle Hold Baptist Church, Newport on Wednesday evenings at 6:00pm

Each of the groups in Girls's Brigade wear different colour tee shirts displaying the GB badge.

The girls get involved with various activities including craft, games, stories, sleepovers, cooking, drama as well as an annual camp to various locations in the UK. So far, we have been to Dorset, Essex, Devon, Wales and Sussex.

Of the activities, team games help the girls understand why things are done and the girls really enjoy learning useful skills, such as bandaging an accident victim.
